Heart Prague began in 2016 and was planted by our founders, Chris & Amy Hales. It is an English-speaking church nestled in the heart of Prague, Czech Republic. Their vibrant congregation is a diverse blend of Internationals and Czechs, brought together by a shared devotion to Jesus and deep affection for the beautiful city of Prague.

Currently underway is the inspiring endeavor of establishing Heart Liverpool, an ambitious church planting initiative set to take root in the heart of Liverpool, England in 2024. This project represents our dedicated commitment to fostering a nurturing spiritual community amidst the melting pot of cultures in one of England's most iconic cities. As we embark on this journey, we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to create a haven for faith, fellowship, and transformation. Our vision for Heart Liverpool is to be a family that lives out the heart of Jesus and His teachings in the city and the world.

Chris & Amy Hales
Founders of Heart Europe
Meet Chris and Amy Hales, the visionary leaders behind our journey. Hailing from Oklahoma, both have been steeped in ministry for a significant part of their lives. Their paths converged in September 1999, and by March 2000, they embarked on an adventurous journey together.
Guided by their faith, Chris and Amy's odyssey led them to unforeseen corners of the world. A decade ago, their faith found expression as they accepted the call to relocate their family to Prague, catalyzing the inception of Heart Prague International Church in October 2016. Challenges punctuated the path, but their unwavering resolve paved the way for God's purpose to be realized.
In December 2020, Heart Prague was entrusted to Czech pastors, marking a transition for Chris and Amy. Over the subsequent years, they facilitated the establishment of new churches across Czech. Today, a new divine assignment beckons.
Come summer 2024, Chris and Amy will heed the call to Liverpool, UK, a city teeming with potential. Their initial endeavor will be to plant a fresh church within its vibrant confines. With approximately 500,000 residents residing in the heart of the city and a larger community of 2 million nearby, the demand for spiritual communities is palpable.
Their vision extends beyond city limits. A heart for nations propels Chris and Amy to continue fostering church-planting efforts not just in England, but throughout Europe. Their mission resonates with providing individuals the chance to embrace the Gospel, make informed choices about Christ, and find solace in a local Christian church family.
Europe, to them, is more than picturesque landscapes and charming cafes. It's an intricate tapestry woven with lives bearing names, dreams, and aspirations. Chris and Amy's dedication reflects in their determination to bridge the gap until all have encountered the transformative message of Christ.

Worship and Administration
Meet Joshua and Olivia Kennard! Born and raised in Pittsburgh, they married in 2019 and welcomed their son Silas in 2023. They have spent their years together serving the local church and leading teams on short-term missions trips. Before joining the team at Heart Europe, Joshua served as a worship pastor and Olivia served at a crisis pregnancy center. This will be their first-term serving as AGWM Missionary Associates. They are excited to join the Heart Europe team and will be an integral part of starting Heart Liverpool.
Joshua was raised in a ministry home and is a third generation pastor. He has spent his life pursuing Jesus’ call on his life to lead people into a place of worship, in and out of the church building. He is called to equip the local church by writing songs and hymns. Olivia found Jesus in middle school, and went on her first missions trip shortly after. It was after that trip that she received the call to serve him as a full-time missionary, sharing the good news of Jesus to the lost and broken. She has spent her life helping others to take the steps to participate in the Great Commission.
As a family they believe in reaching the nations for the sake of the Gospel, in Jesus name, through making disciples and writing music. The landscape of England, as a post-christian nation, is in deep need of the Gospel. A new fire needs to be lit on the altar and they believe the people of England will, once again, sing the praises of King Jesus! The Kennards are passionate about reaching their neighbors and the nations!
James iskra
Discipleship
James Iskra was saved as a teenager at the age of 19 from a destructive life -style of drugs, drinking, witchcraft and suicide. Through a series of supernatural events, the Lord not only revealed himself to James, but radically saved him and changed his life completely. He was literally transformed and translated from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of God! James has shared his testimony in various types of churches and youth meetings and has seen the same miraculous saving grace and power of God deliver and save others. James has also preached and shared his testimony in various countries, where salvation, deliverance, and healing often follow after his testimony is shared.
After his radical transformation, James attended Bible College in New York and later became an ordained minister with the Peninsular Florida District of the Assemblies of God. Through his ministry journey he has been involved in various types of ministries as a church deacon, Sunday School Teacher, College and Career minister, and Assistant Pastor. He has also been involved in evangelistic outreaches and preaching through short term mission trips to Botswana, South Africa, Guatemala, Mexico, Jamaica, Uganda, England, and Romania. His passion is to see people changed through the light of the gospel and to help new believers grow in their relationship with the Father through learning His word and one on one discipleship.
God has now directed James to serve on the team in Liverpool, England and is excited about reaching the people of this great and unique city!
